2007 Baby Names - 2006 and 2005 Baby Names Online:

My thoughts about some of the best of the best 2005 / 2006
Baby Names online and how these fit with your baby (babies)!

Let's first start off by saying Happy Holidays everyone! My name is Dave and I write articles on the web and I definitely wanted to tackle one that is very dear to my heart and that is Baby Names. My article today will consist of the Top 2005 and 2006 Baby Names Online.

Well as you may know and probably have already done during your internet baby name research online is to-do a search for the top three search terms and that is, 2005 Baby Names, 2006 Baby Names and Baby Names. The other resource that you can visit and is probably the most accurate and is also where most of the websites you find online obtain their baby name data is the Social Security Adminstration website located at: http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames

If you think about it, everyone applies for a Social Security card and these kind hard working folks sure know what names are being requested!

This website has many different variations for performing a name search such :

1. Popular names by Birth Year (ie: 2006, 2005, etc.):  Their description of this search says: "Popular Names by Birth Year. For a list of the most popular names for a particular year of birth (any year after 1879), enter the year and the length of the popularity list".

2. Popularity of a Name:
  Their description of this search says: To see how the popularity of a name has changed over time, enter the name and, optionally, the sex and number of years. Please note that the name you select must be in the top 1000 most popular names in order for the name to appear in the table produced by your request.

3. Top 5 names by State:  Their description of this search says: Select Birth year from the drop down.

4. Top 1000 names by decade:  Their description of this search says: Select Decade from the drop down.

Their Top 10 Names of 2005 were:

Rank Male name Female name
1 Jacob Emily
2 Michael Emma
3 Joshua Madison
4 Matthew Abigail
5 Ethan Olivia
6 Andrew Isabella
7 Daniel Hannah
8 Anthony Samantha
9 Christopher Ava
10 Joseph Ashley

Now as you read that list you will see a #9 female baby name by the name of Ava. This is actually # 3 so far for the year of 2006. Well guess what? That is by babies name, she was born in 2005 and what a sweetheart! She is experiencing her first Christmas this year, my son is 3 years old and his name is Luke which was also a
popular baby name awhile back.

Many people have different objectives when doing their research and some are the following:

* Meaning of a name
* Boy and Girls name
*  Popular names
*  Origin
*  Unique (uniqueness)
*  Books on the subject
*  Unusual names (could group with unique)
*  Irish, Italian, Muslim, Hindu, Indian, Hebrew, Greek, Mexican, Sikh, Scottish, Jewish, American, Islamic,
     French,  African American, Chinese, Japanese and Arabic names along with their meanings.
     ( please email us if we missed something, I know we must have)

*  Biblical and Christian
*  Celebrity
*  Weird (could group with unusual and unique)

Mostly people are looking for the Baby name meaning for their baby. This is not always the case but deep down inside they do like the meaning. However, the fourth most popular search is exactly just that, popular names. They also don't want to have something too popular and actually have something unique and individual to themselves and their family. For example my wife decided to name my son Luke's middle name Richard. Richard was her father's first name who has passed away about 9 years ago. This was a way to keep his name somewhat alive and also an honor for my son when he grows up to really have a meaning behind the middle name he will use and have each and every day. The same with my daughter Ava, her middle name had my wife's maiden name and therefore we get to keep her name going and this will have a greater meaning to my daughter and for her to understand the origin of the name she has in her life. See when people do the origin of a baby name and their meaning type of search.

So what have we learned. Well no matter how unusual or unique the baby name of the meaning along with the origin, you can find something that will fit your little precious joy that will make you happy!

Well here is the good stuff, I have did some research online and found some more names, here are some picks for 2006 so far. Now be mindful of these popular baby girl, boy, celebrity, top names.
